Father’s Day Tournament
Two separate tournaments
Father Son/Daughter 9 hole division beginning at 8:00
Father Son/Daughter 18 hole division beginning at 10:30
This event will be flighted after 18 holes. The format for this event will be a
modifiedalternate shot. There will not be an entry fee for the 9 hole division

18th Indianola Chamber Fundraiser
This event is open to all members and non members. The format for this event is
a four person best shot. It will be a 12:30 shotgun start. Please look for more

June 23rd
Iowa Golf Course Superintendents Association Outing
This event is a fundraiser for turf grass research.
Golf course superintendents and other turf grass researchers will be having an
outing to raise money for research in turf grass management. This event will be
a 12:00 Shotgun Start
June 28th
Member – Guest (NEW EVENT)
This event is your
chance to “showcase” your facility to a non member. The format for this event
will be a 2 – Person Best Ball Net. We will be counting the low ball/score of
the two with handicap. Each player will need to have an established handicap.
All players will be competing within the same flight regardless of sex. Because
this is a Net Event all players should be competing on a level playing field.
Men will play from the White Tees and Ladies will play from the Red Tees.

July 4th
Firecracker Open
This will be a four
person best shot with an A, B, C, and D player. Start time will be a 9:00 a.m.
shotgun. Course closed until completion.
GHIN handicap required for participation.

July 12th
,13th Men’s Club Championship
This will be a two day event with a regular, senior and super senior division.
The tournament will be flighted at the completion of 36 holes for all flights
except the championship flight.
The Championship Flight
will be determined at the end of round one with the low 16 and ties and those
participants who declared Championship Flight playing 27 holes from the
black tees on Day 2. This will be a tee time event beginning at 7:30 a.m. Super
Seniors (60 & up) will play from the Gold Tees. The Regular Division (age 49 &
below) and Senior Division (50-59) will play from the White Tees. Players are
allowed to choose their own foursomes for day one.
July 18th 2nd Annual Indianola Golf Classic (American
Cancer Society Fundraiser)
This
outing/fundraiser is open all members and non club members. The format for this
event will be a Four Person Best Shot. Men will play from the white tees and
women will play from the red tees. This event will be one division and flights
will be determined on the number of teams. All proceeds from this event will be
donated to the American Cancer Society. This event will be a 12:00 noon Shotgun
Start. Please look for more details on this event in the upcoming newsletters.
July 19th
Couples 2-Ball & Patio Party – “Gilligan’s Getaway”
Hosts are Browns and
Polsons. Couples 2-Ball to begin at 6:00. Dinner will be served at the
completion of play. Plan to stay and dance to Legal Limit.
2-Ball – 6:00 Dinner – 8:00 Dance – 9:00
July 21st
Iowa Golf
Association State Amateur Qualifier
We have been asked
to host the Central Iowa Qualifier for the 106th Iowa Amateur. This
event will have morning tee times. Tee times will be based on the number of
qualifiers. Please watch for more information in the upcoming newsletters.
July 27th
Women’s Club Championship
This will be a one day event with a regular division along with a senior
division. The tournament will be flighted at the conclusion of 18 holes. Tee
times will begin at 7:30 a.m. Players are allowed to choose their own
foursomes.The low 10 players, excluding the Open Division Champion, will qualify
for the sole survivor.
August 3rd Sole Survivor
This will be five separate tournaments. The Women’s Division will begin at
12:00. The Men’s Super Senior Division will begin at 12:30. The Men’s Senior
Division will begin at 1:00. The Men’s Open Division will begin at 1:30. The
Men’s Championship Division will begin at 2:00. This tournament will take place
on the East/Old Nine. Qualifiers will be determined upon club championship
results.
August
17th Husband/Wife Club Championship (Format Change)
This event is open to both members and non members. This
will be a great way for you to introduce a non member couple to your Club. Our
Club Champion will determined by the lowest score of a member couple. The
format for this event will be a modified alternate shot. This event will be
flighted after 18 holes. This event will be a 9:00 Shotgun Start

24th Indianola Booster Club Fundraiser Outing
This event is open
to all members and non club members. This event fills up every year so space
will be limited. The format for this event will be a Four Person Best Shot.
All Men will play from the White Tees while all Women will play from the Red
Tees. All teams will be in one division. This event will be flighted at the
completion of 18 holes. It will be a 9:00 Shotgun Start. The course will be
closed until the completion of play. Please look for more details on this great

31st- Labor Day Tournament (Format Change)
Sept. 1st
This event will be a 4 – Person Best Shot with an A, B, C, & D player. There
will be a Men’s Division and a Women’s
Division. This will be a two day event with both divisions
playing 18 holes each day. It will be a 9:00
Shotgun start each day.

Sept. 6th
Year End 2-Ball (Stout & St. John)
Come out and enjoy
the final 2-Ball of the year. There will be lots of prizes, good food and of
course golf. Event starts at 4:00 p.m.
Sept.
14th State 4 – Man Best Shot
This event is open to all members and non club members. It will be limited to
the first 36 teams. Participants will form their own teams. The tournament
will be flighted at the conclusion of play. It will be a 10:00 a.m. shotgun
start.
Sept.
20th Men’s Flag Tournament
This event is open
to all members of the Men’s Association. Participants will be given a flag with
a number on it. The number on their flag will be the course rating from the set
of tees they are playing + their current handicap from that set of tees. Each
player will play until they reach the number on their flag. The player who
advances his flag the furthest is declared the winner. There is a steak fry at
the conclusion of the round. This is a tee time event in which participants
choose their own foursomes.
The course remains open for regular play during this event. GHIN

Sept.
20th Couples Night Glow (Pollock)
Come enjoy some
night golf! We will serve dinner prior to the event at 6:00. Golf will begin at
dusk. Nine holes of “Night Golf” will be played on the East Nine. Advance sign
up is required so that the hosts can purchase the correct amount of night golf
supplies.
Sept.
28th Ryder Cup
This will be a 27 hole event with the nines to be played Best
Shot, Best Ball, and then Alternate Shot. This event is open to club members
only. There will be a Men’s Division and a Mixed Division. The tournament will
be flighted at the Completion of Play. Tee times will begin at 8:00 a.m.
October
26th Chili 4 – Person Best Shot (New Event)
This event is
open to both members and non members. The format for this event will be a 4 –
Person Best Shot. All men will play from the white tees. All women will play
from the red tees. All teams will be in one division. The tournament will be
flighted after 18 holes. This event will be an 11:00 Shotgun Start. |
