Playing the "West Nine"
Remember that on every day except Tuesday the course in
played "links style". Tee off on # 1, then play the new holes as 2 -10
before finishing up on holes 11-18 (old 2-9). On Tuesdays the old east
nine is played as the front nine and the new west nine is played as the
back nine. One issue that has come up is that some people like the new
nine so much they are going from hole 10 back to 2 to play the new nine
again. Please don't do this as you may be interfering with the play of
others. Also, please be aware that if you hit your tee shot to the right
on #2 that it may land on nine green. Please yell" FORE!" to alert players
on that hole.
Cart Use Issues
Junior golfers need to be 16 years old and have a valid
drivers license to drive a golf cart. This includes young juniors driving
with their parents. Please be safe and don't let your young juniors drive
your cart.
Please use the 90 degree rule. Don't drive down the rough parallel to the
fairway. This creates a worn path in the grass. This is becoming an issue
on the right side of #2 by the mounds. If your ball is in this area, drive
down the cart path, cross the fairway to your ball, and after hitting your
shot return to the cart path.
Finally, please keep you cart off of the steep hillside on hole #5 as much
as possible. In addition to being unsafe in some areas, cart traffic here
can cause significant damage. |
