Tournament Results
            Congratulations to the recent tournament winners. The team of Matt Jones, Dave Stanford, Curtis Detmering, and Sharon Capps shot 60 to win the Firecracker Open on July 4th.  The winners in the Club Championships were:

Club Sponsored Tournaments in August
            The Sole Survivor is on Sunday August 2nd.  Come on out and watch the Sole Survivor “shoot outs” on the East nine starting at noon on Sunday August 3rd.  There will be five separate groups with the women leading off at 12 noon followed by the men’s super senior, senior, open, and championship groups.  This is a great event to watch as one player is eliminated on each hole.
            The Husband/Wife Club Championship will again be open to both members and non members.  We hope that you will take advantage of this opportunity to invite another couple out to the Club for this event.  Our goal has always been to introduce as many non members to our facility as possible without inconveniencing the membership.  The low member couple will be deemed the Club Champions even if a non member couple have the lowest score of this event.  The entry fee for a nonmember couple is only $40.  Advance sign up is required so please don’t delay!  This event has a 9:00 am Shotgun Start.

Couples 2-Balls
            There are three 2-Balls scheduled for August.  The August 8th Couples Two Ball will be hosted by Karen and Dick Mathews. This will be to celebrate Karen’s 60th birthday. There will be many surprises, with special prizes, and fun games. There will be a Potluck following at the Mathews house. Your presence will be her presents. Come join the fun.  The 2-Ball originally scheduled for Friday June 26th will be held on Saturday August 22nd at 6 pm.  The 3rd 2-Ball of the month will be on Friday August 28th at 6 pm.  Reminder: the nine not being used by 2-Ball is open for others to play. 
            The September 12th Night Glow 2-Ball has been moved to Saturday September 19th due to a conflict.  Please note this in your calendars.

Indianola High School Boy’s Golf
            The high school golf team is practicing and playing matches at the club again this fall.  Many of the players are members.  Most of the matches start at 3:30pm and will be on the west nine.  They will close the first tee (#2) for 30-45 minutes.  The east nine remains open.  Check the calendar for dates.

Membership Changes
We have received a resignation from Brad & Rita Bunting.  Welcome new golf members Jim & Shirley Brittian and Brian & Chris Seymour. We now have 326 golf and 19 social memberships. We had 332 golf and 14 social memberships at this time last year.
