Party, Party, Party!

December is a time for parties at the club. There is a karaoke party planed for Friday December 16th and of course there is the New Years Eve Party. Details are below. Come on out and join in the fun. Also, a BIG thank you to the Browns and Polsons for organizing the very successful Halloween Party. The children's Halloween event was a big success as well.

Friday Lunches

There will be a number of Fridays in the next month or so when we will not have a cook available to cook lunch from the menu. The Rotary meal will be available for members who would like lunch on those days. Cost is $7.00. The days and menu are:
12-2-05 - Spaghetti and Meatballs, Salad, Garlic Bread and dessert
12-09-05 - Pork Loin, Augratin Potatoes, Green Beans, Dessert
 
Winter Golf

Joe will keep the greens open as long as we have playable weather. We will go to winter clubhouse hours in December, but Jason will try to have someone in the clubhouse if good weather is likely to bring some golfers out. Once the greens close, you can still play to the temporary flags Joe will put in front of the greens on the old nine.

I would like to let our new members know, and remind our "old" members that there is significant activity in the clubhouse even after the snow flies.

  • Monday & Tuesday - Downstairs bar open 3:30pm-6:30pm. Stop in for happy hour after work.

  • Wednesday - Ladies Day Stagette 3rd Wednesday each month.

  • Thursday - Lunch 11:00am-2:00pm, Every Thursday night is men's night. Stop in for dinner, a few drinks, a game of cards or watching a ball game.

  • Friday - Lunch 11:00am-2:00pm. There is also usually a good Friday evening crowd for happy hour. Stop by with your friends.

  • Saturday - Lunch 11:00am-2:00pm. There is typically a good afternoon crowd playing cards or watching ball games. Come by and check it out.

  • Closed Sundays in the winter

There are also some special events being planned including a Texas Holdem Tournament. Check the monthly newsletters for details. If you have an idea for an event that you would like to see at the club, and would be willing to help plan for it, let Jason know and we will get it on the schedule if possible.

Nominations Wanted

Country Club elections will be coming up at the end of the year. Nominations are needed for one Board of Trustee position and 4 Board of Directors positions. I know that there are many of you out there who have the abilities to make a contribution to your club. The Nominations Committee is the outgoing members of the Board, Paul Breuklander, Ken Birkenholtz, Joe Blake, Susan Westra, and Dick Mathews. Please let them or someone on the board know by the board meeting on December 13th if you are interested in running.

Membership Changes

We have received resignations from Todd Cambron and James & Sherry Vail (social). Shirley Tuttle has dropped her golf membership, but remains as a social member. We now have 317 golf and 11 social memberships. Our membership was 294 at this time last year.

Reminders:

All Country Club Bucks will expire at the end of the year. Please make sure to use yours on or before December 31, 2005.
