Membership Drive Concluding

Thanks to all of you who helped the club recruit a total of 39 new members so far this year. As reported last month, the Board has voted to continue to offer the $250 initiation fee special until we reach our current membership limit of 325. There are only 7 memberships left so if you have friends thinking about joining, let them know this. Once we reach 325, the board will evaluate course access and decide if additional memberships should be added. If so, the normal $500 initiation fee will apply. We will continue to give members who recruit a new member $50 in club bucks until we reach the 325 limit. Congratulations to Garth McGraw who won the drawing for the one month of free dues for recruiting his brother Grant McGraw as a new member during the spring portion of the membership drive.

Membership Changes

Welcome new members George & Nancy Lunn, Joanne Burke Snyder, Greg & Jill Carpenter, Marlin & Lorena Bolin, Derek Kimzey, John & Nancy Byrd and Sam Daniels. We have received a resignation from JD Norman. We now have 318 golf and 12 social memberships.

Reminders:

Handicaps - If you have signed up for a GHIN handicap, please turn in all of your scores, both good and bad, to ensure that you have a legitimate handicap. Current GHIN handicaps are required for some of the tournaments. The golf committee is considering requiring a minimum number of scores in 2005 for the Labor Day Tournament.

Sign in - Remember to sign-in in the clubhouse before playing. This will help us kep track of the amount of play the course is getting as well as help us find you on the course in case of an emergency.

Last Chance for Memorial Bricks - With construction starting on the Restroom/Shelter on the west nine, time is running out to get your "memorial brick" to help with funding the construction. Information on how to get your brick for only $100 is in the clubhouse.

Juniors on Weekends - Remember that on weekends, Juniors 17 & under can't tee off before 11:00am. This is true even when playing with an adult. The only exceptions to this are for high school girls and boys varsity golfers approved by the coach in their respective seasons. See the calendar for details.
