New Cart Shed in Progress
The new cart shed construction is now underway. Look for a mid to late June completion. There are still a few spaces available. This is a great opportunity for a new member to join and get a cart shed space right away!

Upcoming Tournaments
Perhaps the biggest tournament of the year is the Fathers Day Tournament on Sunday June 18th. Father/Son & Father/Daughter teams will play a modified alternate shot format. The nine hole noncompetitive division starts at 8 am and those who want to play 18 holes start at about 10:30 am.
The 4th of July Firecracker Open will be played using a "pro-am" net best ball format this year. Four person A,B,C,D player teams will be picked by the golf committee. Each person plays their own ball with the 2 best net scores counting on each hole. A similar format was used several times on Memorial Day before we expanded to 18 holes and all players were able to contribute using their handicap strokes. Play will be in foursomes.

Family Golf Evening
The first Family Golf Evening of the year is at 4:30 pm on Sunday June 25th. These events are for families with children to come out and enjoy some golf activities. Food will be available for purchase from the outdoor grill. Come on out and join the fun.

Couples 2-Ball Events
There are two Saturday 2-Ball events in June with a 6:00 PM start on Saturday June 10th and 17th. Come on out and join the fun. Since we now have 18 holes, the nine not being used by 2-Ball is open for others to play.

Reminders:

Sign-in and Pair up - All members and guests should sign in before teeing off. Also, if you are a single or twosome, pair up and form a threesome or foursome during busy times.

Tuesday Night Golf - We want to remind all members that the COURSE IS OPEN TO OTHERS on Tuesday nights, although the first and 10th tees will typically be crowded from about 4:30 PM until about 5:45 PM. With the course playing as east nine and west nine on Tuesdays, both tees are usually wide open by about 6:00PM. Also, food is typically available on the outside grill on Tuesdays during Men's League. This is open to all, not just those in league, so come on out and grab a bite and play some golf.

Ladies Day Golf - For those of you who play on Wednesday afternoon or evening who are not in Women's League, you need to remember that the league matches are played on both nines in the east / west configuration. Plan your play accordingly.

Membership Changes
Welcome new members Marvin & Judy Perry, Al & Staja Schreck, John & Lori Steinke, Larry & Betty Perry, Joe Ripperger, Tom and Sheri Nicholson, Brian & Anne Brennan, and Nate Ohnemus. We now have 324 golf and 11 social memberships.

New Member Recruiting
Our membership drive continues to go well and we now have the largest membership ever. There have not been long waits to tee off so the board has raised the membership limit to340 and we are still looking for new members. Now is an ideal time to join since there are still some cart shed spots available. Remember that with our current special the initiation fee is only $250 and you will get $50 in clubhouse bucks for each new member you can recruit.
