Karaoke Returns
The Karaoke in September went well so the Croat Brothers will be here for a return engagement on Saturday night November 13th in the downstairs bar. There will be a potluck dinner at 7 pm followed by Karaoke at 8pm. Come on out and join the fun.

Late Fall Golf
Joe will keep the course open as long as the good weather holds. The clubhouse will open at 10 am on weekdays and 8:00 am on weekends while the course is open. When playing in the mornings please be alert to frost and stay off the course until you are sure all the frost is gone. Walking or driving on frost will damage the grass. Also, as the grass stops growing the new nine will move to cart path only to protect the new turf on that side. Watch for the signs. There should be some nice warm fall days left so enjoy some fall golf when you can.

High School Golf Thanks
The Indianola High School golfers want to thank the members for the use of the course this season. Having the Country Club available for practice and meets is a plus for the program.

New Years Eve Party
It’s not too early to start planning for New Years Eve. Last years dance was a big success and we hope to have a great night again this year. Make plans to attend. Look for more info in the clubhouse and in future mailings.

Nominations Wanted
Country Club elections will be coming up at the end of the year. Nominations are needed for President and 4 Board of Directors positions. I know that there are many of you out there who have the abilities to make a contribution to your club. Please let someone on the board know if you are interested in running. The Board is also having the clubs Articles of Incorporation updated. Included in the update at the Boards suggestion is an increase in the term of office for President and Board members from 2 to 3 years. The board felt that much of the first year was a learning year and having 2 more years would allow the board member to make more of a contribution. It would also result in greater continuity on the board. If the updated articles are approved by the membership at the January annual meeting, the 3 year terms will take effect with this election.

Board Meeting Change
Due to some scheduling conflicts the November Board meeting has been moved to Tuesday November 16th at 7 pm.

Membership Changes

Welcome new members Braxton & Abra Pulley, Jeff & Paula Griggs, and Kenneth & Carol Seeger. We have received resignations from Kyle & Kelly Curtis, Kyle Coffee, Anthony & Angie Asmus, R. Kevin & Patricia LaGree, Bill Roach & Annette Lund, Rudy & Catherine Frey, Ron Leuwerke, Dave Mackey, Heather & JR Sheffer, and TJ & Jennifer Richards. Brad VanderLinden and Greg Priebe have dropped their golf memberships and remain as social members. We now have 302 golf and 9 social memberships which is more members than last year at this time. While we would like more members (see special below) we are still in good shape with the club having a good year financially. Net revenues are up in most areas and we are doing better than budget. We're off to a great start as an 18 hole facility.

Fall Membership Special
The Fall Membership Special is still in effect so if you know someone who is thinking of joining you can pick up information and an application in the clubhouse or call the club and have the information sent out. The special is: new members joining this fall can begin playing immediately after approval and pay no monthly dues until April 2005. They must pay the normal $500 initiation fee this fall when joining. This may be paid over 4 months, which is the current policy. They must remain members and pay dues for at least 1 year (until April 2006).
