Board has modified the requirements to use a member owned golf cart to
read: "You must be 16 years of age with a valid drivers license, or 14
years of age with a valid learners permit and adult supervision, to
operate a motorized golf cart." This will allow members to teach their
junior golfers how to operate a golf cart responsibly. The Board is exploring
putting a pro shop in the downstairs backroom. This would provide a
service to the membership as well as potentially make additional revenue
for the club. The pro shop will be on the agenda of next month's board
meeting. If you have any thoughts on this issue let us know. Mark your calendar and
start planning now for the Club New Years Eve Party. Our band will be the
fabulous Good Time Oldies Band. They were a big hit at the 2003 party so
mark it on your calendar to attend this year. The event will be chaired by
Dwight and Mary Freitag so you can be sure it will be a fun evening. Watch
future newsletters for more details. A note from coach Mike
Sheil: The new member special is
going well with 8 new members so far. With this special the initiation fee
is reduced by 50% to $250. New members can skip dues payments during the 4
winter months of November 2005 - February 2006. Members who recruit a new
member will get $50 in club bucks so if you have friends who were thinking
of joining, now is the time. We have received resignations from Brady & Diane Fry, Dave & Stacey Geiger, Charles & Charisse Ozella, and Greg & Sondra Funaro. Welcome new members Tim & Jody Deskin, Matt & Wendy McGinnis, Darl & Ethel Lee, Gary Kuntz & Lynette Barbour, and Joe & Shelly Royer. We now have 316 golf and 12 social memberships. Reminders: Golf has 1st priority on the golf course. Members who wish to walk or jog may do so ONLY when golfers are not present. Biking or rollerblading are not allowed at any time. All Country Club Bucks will expire at the end of the year. Please make sure to use yours on or before December 31, 2005.
